The Nice Côte d’Azur branch organized this professional women’s network 2009 Annual Meeting and welcomed the Presidents of all the other branches around Europe. The event kicked off with a glamorous evening gala on June 25 in Nice that went on well into the night. And this was followed by the Annual Meeting that was held in TEAM headquarters on June 26 and 27.
The EuropeanPWN (Professional Women’s Network) is Europe’s premier network for female managers, CEOs and entrepreneurs to promote the professional progress of women working in all sectors and industries. Today, the network has some 3,500 members and over 90 nationalities in more than 17 local networks in Europe’s major cities, which are connected via an online and offline networking and leadership development platform.
Professional women on the Côte d’Azur - and specifically in Sophia Antipolis - tend to have a strong professional and academic background, often with an international scope. These managers, executives, company directors work in a wide range of sectors from high tech, to services, to consulting… . In the last decade, they have gathered together in networks to share their experience and help boost their careers.
Alongside the EPWN Nice Côte d’Azur, several other associations have been created such as Femmes 3000 Côte d’Azur, Côte d’Azur Pionnières, Femmes chefs d’entreprise, Femmes Business Angels, Créasol, as well as initiatives within companies like Accenture with Accent sur elles, or IBM La Gaude and its Women in Technology group.
