Article published on April, 26th.

With this project, Louis Vuitton signals its return to the world of perfumes, a sector which it left in the early 20th century.  The project comprises the renovation of the 18th century building, the Bastide des Fontaines Parfumées which was also a manufacturing plant. The new project will also include reception and training rooms.

Grasse: An internationally recognised traditional industry

An ideal place for the creativity of the great Noses with their legendary perfumes, the Côte d'Azur is recognised as the world-class aroma cluster. At its core, a concentration of unrivalled expertise and techniques in the field of perfumes, food flavourings and fine chemistry.  The Côte d'Azur-based cluster for the perfumes and flavourings industry is firmly established around Grasse, the world's perfume capital.

The second largest employment pool in France, the cluster generates 50% of national turnover.

Major companies have long established themselves around the city of Grasse, developing increasingly sophisticated techniques. In particular, Riviera-based companies excel in the most cutting-edge field, that of Natural, a section of the industry where the exclusive expertise of those in Grasse predominates

They chose the Côte d'Azur

"Sophia-Antipolis is a very attractive region for any semiconductor company, for several reasons. The first one is that in the technology park of Sophia-Antipolis there is a solid tradition of analog and digital design, which is due to the presence of other big companies working in the same or similar markets, like Texas Instruments, Intel, STM and others. The second reason is linked to presence in the technology park of the Polytech'Nice-Sophia and other important schools.

That will guarantee our future growth since the region will always offer both experienced design engineers and you talents to hire."
