Sophia Antipolis: norsys chooses the technology park for its offices on the Côte d’Azur

The consulting and IT service company which has over 250 employees opens a fifth office and continues its development

Interview with Lilian PLACET, Manager of norsys Côte d’Azur.

Can you tell us about your business?

norsys is a consulting and IT service company which has over 250 employees. Our business focuses on contract management (specifications, choice of IT solutions, change management) and project management (design and development of software solutions based on new technologies). Our preferred business sectors are health and social care, but we are also involved in commerce, banking and insurance.

How does your company differentiate its offer?

norsys differentiates itself through the positioning of its services which feature high added-value with the capacity to be proactive and innovative, favouring the personal touch and excellent service.

This positioning is based on a corporate university made up of specialist training schools for technical skills, but which also focuses on personal skills and the knowledge of a business sector.

Over 70% of employees attend courses every year. Additionally, a research centre enables norsys to remain at the cutting edge of technological developments, particularly smartphone and tablet applications.

norsys is developed as part of a vision of overall performance, that is economic, human and societal.  It is the only IT consulting company to be accredited with the "diversity" and "equal access" labels

In 2012, AFNOR (French national organisation for standardisation) evaluated norsys' corporate social responsibility, interpreting the impact of its decisions and business in accordance with the principles of the ISO 26000 standard and its model "AFAQ 26000".  Its maturity level, judged EXEMPLARY, placed norsys in the top 10 French companies evaluated.

Why have you based yourselves on the Côte d’Azur?

The Côte d'Azur's ecosystem is a stimulating environment for developing our business and we have discovered a well-represented health/social care business sector in the region. There are several major institutions based in this region such as the RSI (Régime Social des Indépendants) and ACOSS in the field of supplementary pensions. For norsys, this is an opportunity to be able to support its clients on their various sites.

What are your prospects for growth and development?

The services offered by norsys on both a technology and industry specialisation level are particularly effective for companies with a strategic information system. This applies to many companies in the Côte d'Azur region and this should enable norsys to develop new activities and strengthen the current team of employees with engineers, project managers and consultants.

They chose the Côte d'Azur

"Sophia-Antipolis is a very attractive region for any semiconductor company, for several reasons. The first one is that in the technology park of Sophia-Antipolis there is a solid tradition of analog and digital design, which is due to the presence of other big companies working in the same or similar markets, like Texas Instruments, Intel, STM and others. The second reason is linked to presence in the technology park of the Polytech'Nice-Sophia and other important schools.

That will guarantee our future growth since the region will always offer both experienced design engineers and you talents to hire."
