Building a “Smart City”, an intelligent city to the benefit of all citizens and companies, is one of the major challenges that must be faced by policy makers, actors and industries in our urban areas at the beginning of the 21st Century.

Nice Metropolis, Côte d’Azur, is the leader in the deployment of innovative technologies in everyday life: electric vehicles, intelligent parking, contactless mobile – NFC technology, urban monitoring, blue bikes…With regards to the CCI in Nice, Côte d’Azur, as part of its mission for economic development of companies and the territory, it is particularly engaged in the sectors related to energy and “clean technologies.  To construct this new model of urban development, it is essential to favour the exchanges between all the actors in the intelligent city (industrial, economic operators, local and political decision makers).

>>To this effect, the Metropolis and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nice, Côte d'Azur welcomes an international event on the theme of the intelligent city, on June 6 & 7 in the Nice Acropolis: INNOVATIVE CITY CONVENTION.

The INNOVATIVE CITY CONVENTION is the place for all the trades within the city to meet, who will establish new ways of working together, privately and publicly, multidisciplinary and multi-trade solutions necessary for economic, societal and environmental progress sought by the policymakers, economic actors and the citizens.

For Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of Nice Metropolis, Côte d’Azur: “I decided to engage in a triple mutation for the metropolis territory: diversify touristic activities, anchor our territory in technology, particularly green technologies, those in the health sector and those that make the city “smarter” and sustainable in forming this new phase of economic development on an eco-exemplary basis. Our project is to develop the city on the city, with a new approach on how to design development, urbanism, public spaces, architecture…It is in this context that we have great pleasure to welcome the Innovative City Convention.”

For Bernard Kleynhoff, President of the CCI in Nice, Côte d’Azur: “The CCI in Nice, Côte d’Azur, in participating in the creation of the first Innovative City Convention, aims to promote the industrial know-how of Information Technologies and the Communication and sustainable development sectors and accompany the development of industrial activities of tomorrow. The Alpes Maritimes area forms a real eco-system allowing local companies to have all it takes to meet this challenge and bring economy to the Côte d’Azur.”

The Côte d’Azur Team would like to invite you to attend the exhibition and are offering you free entrance.

They chose the Côte d'Azur

"Sophia-Antipolis is a very attractive region for any semiconductor company, for several reasons. The first one is that in the technology park of Sophia-Antipolis there is a solid tradition of analog and digital design, which is due to the presence of other big companies working in the same or similar markets, like Texas Instruments, Intel, STM and others. The second reason is linked to presence in the technology park of the Polytech'Nice-Sophia and other important schools.

That will guarantee our future growth since the region will always offer both experienced design engineers and you talents to hire."
