The G20 YES (Young Entrepreneur Summit) will be held in France, in Nice

Held at the same time as the G20 summit for Heads of State, the G20 summit will highlight the role played by entrepreneurs, from 31st October to 2nd November

The G20 YES (Young Entrepreneur Summit) is an international 3-day summit organised alongside the G20 Summit, which brings together, across 20 delegations, 400 of some of the most exemplary entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 45 from the G20 countries.

Organised in France by the Les Journées de l’Entrepreneur association, the G20 YES in Nice follows the G20 YES Toronto in June 2010 and Seoul in November 2010.  The French delegation at the 2011 G20 YES comprises 60 entrepreneurs working in 15 different business sectors, selected from 700 applicants put forward by 114 entrepreneur networks. 51% of the representatives are aged between 20 and 40, 40% are women and 60% come from provincial towns.

The 400 entrepreneurs will meet to finalise the proposals that they will present to the G20 Heads of State on 3rd November, intended to help young people become “entrepreneurs of their future”.

Their proposed measures will demonstrate that entrepreneurship, in both emerging and developed nations and particularly with regards young people, is the primary key to recovering from the crisis and the best asset in shaping the 21st century economy of an innovative, sustainable and united world.

“Through the G20 YES, an entrepreneurial force has been established worldwide since 2007, this force is the start of a large-scale movement", observes Grégoire Sentilhes, President of G20 YES and the Les Journées de l’Entrepreneur association and president of NextStage.

At the G20 YES in Nice, 60 entrepreneurs, 40% of whom are women and 60% from provincial towns will represent France. Self-entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs or creators of intermediate-sized companies with an international presence, they come from industry (for 12% of them), sales or services.

They chose the Côte d'Azur

"Sophia-Antipolis is a very attractive region for any semiconductor company, for several reasons. The first one is that in the technology park of Sophia-Antipolis there is a solid tradition of analog and digital design, which is due to the presence of other big companies working in the same or similar markets, like Texas Instruments, Intel, STM and others. The second reason is linked to presence in the technology park of the Polytech'Nice-Sophia and other important schools.

That will guarantee our future growth since the region will always offer both experienced design engineers and you talents to hire."
