1Check, a Nicoise company that develops mobile and web applications, including a connected cart for use by housekeepers, launched its digital innovation for the hospitality sector.
1Check’s solution allows users to manage at once a number of aspects of hotel management thanks to mobile and web applications linked to a connected cart. The management of rooms, personnel, maintenance, inventory, and lost property is accessible with just a click for housekeepers, who can record their observations and transmit them in real-time to the concerned services.
My number one priority was to offer a tool that is simultaneously simple to use, ergonomic, interactive, efficient, and exhaustive in terms of content for each service: housekeeping — maintenance, reception, and management –in order to optimize the work of teams and improve the quality of client services. The second objective was the improvement of work conditions by reducing physical fatigue and the daily stress of housekeepers, two important factors of the inherent professional risk in this line of work that I know well.” Explains Virginie Lafon, President of 1CHECK and the lead housekeeper of the Négresco Hotel.
The company fundraised 315,000 euros in 2014 on the crowdfunding platform, WiSeed, and obtained regional grants to ensure the commercial deployment of its solution.
The hotel chain Best Western has already equipped its hotels in Ajaccio and Bastia with 18 connected carts.
