EDHEC Business School has announced the appointment of Tristan-Pierre Maury as the new Director of Programs for the Grande Ecole and Masters of Science. He succeeds Michelle Sisto, who made a lasting impact on the school through her commitment and dedication
As the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, Professor Tristan-Pierre Maury’s mission, starting from June 2023, is to intensify the development momentum
of the portfolio of Masters programs as well as the PhD in Finance at EDHEC, with a strong emphasis on academic excellence, pedagogical innovation, and internationalization. These areas are key pillars of the school’s strategic plan for 2025
An economist to drive social and environmental transitions
Tristan-Pierre Maury holds a Ph.D. in macroeconomics from the University of Paris X (2001), a Master’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Paris-Dauphine, and a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the Sorbonne, obtained in 1997.
From 2010 to 2016, he was a member of the EDHEC Research Center in Economics before successfully creating and leading the double degree program, Master in Public Affairs Management, in partnership with Sciences Po Lille since 2020. He also designed and led the MSc Online in Data Management and Business Analytics (2021) within the FOME alliance, particularly in collaboration with Imperial College.
His research themes revolve around three main axes: diversity and inclusion in education, housing policies, and methods for evaluating public policies.
In a context of profound societal changes and the aspirations of the new generations, Tristan-Pierre Maury will be responsible for accelerating the training of EDHEC students on the challenges of ecological transition and preparing them for upcoming technological challenges. His dual scientific and literary background will enable him to develop an ambitious knowledge hybridization policy at the intersection of management, social sciences, and data.
“I am honored by the mission entrusted to me and aware of the challenges for our school. Teaching management today involves integrating and anticipating the profound upheavals that society is experiencing: climate change, social issues, the revolution of artificial intelligence. This corresponds to a growing demand from our students, businesses, and society in general. My main mission will be to continue and amplify this trend towards openness and hybridization in our Master’s programs,” emphasized Tristan-Pierre Maury, Associate Dean for Graduate Programs at EDHEC.
