The rebirth of Ecole 42 within the Technopole Nice Meridia
This Thursday, June 6, 2024, Ecole 42 reopened in Nice within the Hub of Innovation. The school already has more than 350 students and plans to enroll 100 new students for the September intake.
This reopening symbolizes not only the return of Ecole 42 but also the attractiveness of Nice in the field of new technologies after the AI Cluster labeling of the 3IA Côte d’Azur and the “Capital” label of the French Tech Côte d’Azur.
An ecosystem that is constantly strengthening with the presence of several local technological champions, such as Bodyguard, Livmed’s, and Inalve, who have raised several million euros, supported by an ambitious economic policy that has been in place for more than 15 years.
Ecole 42 is integrated into a dynamic ecosystem, within the urban technopole of Nice Méridia and the Ecovallée Operation of National Interest. These initiatives aim to develop high value-added activities within the Hub of Innovation Nice Côte d’Azur, this center of excellence brings together a startup incubator, acceleration programs, renowned schools, and competitiveness clusters. The goal is to become one of the main innovation clusters at the national level.
In 2023, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis made the premises at 61-63 avenue Simone Veil available free of charge for three years. Ecole 42 thus benefits from the support of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur, the SUD region, and several companies such as Travel Planet, WIT, and Reel IT have already formalized their support.
Higher education ecosystem: ISART and Centrale Méditerranée
Considered as the 2nd best school in the world for video games, Isart Digital has established itself in Nice Méridia, from the September 2023 intake, with its concept of Game Business School, combining video games and business. In 2025, the school plans to open a new eco-responsible campus in Nice Ecovallée, equipped with a business incubator and a student residence to accommodate 200 students annually.
Centrale Méditerranée, resulting from the transformation of Centrale Marseille, also has a campus in Nice in the eco-district of Nice Méridia. This campus offers post-baccalaureate and doctoral programs, including a “Bachelor of Science and Engineering” and a “Centrale DigitalLab” for bac +5 students. These programs aim to train engineers capable of meeting contemporary environmental and social challenges.
The reopening of Ecole 42 in Nice, the implantations of Isart Digital and Centrale Méditerranée strengthen the collective commitment to support technological innovation and higher education in the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis.
