An innovative boutique hotel
On June 14, 2024, Nice will see the opening of the Palais Ségurane, a new hotel located at 22 rue Catherine Ségurane, near Place Garibaldi and at the foot of the Château Hill. Led by Yan and Rémi Bensabath, this 2500 m² establishment includes 43 suites, a spa, a movie theater (reserved for guests), and a concept bar.
The construction of the hotel was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Architect of the Buildings of France, following the demolition of the building during the work of the line 2 of the tramway, and in order to preserve the architectural identity of the district while modernizing the infrastructure.
The Palais Ségurane positions itself as a boutique-hotel, offering a personalized experience and high-end services. The rooms, equipped with kitchenettes, extend up to 90 m², meeting the expectations of a demanding clientele.
The hotel stands out with innovative services such as an evolving bar, “Catherine,” and a restaurant “Colita.” The bar offers brunches until 4 pm before transforming into a cocktail and tapas bar in the evening.
A hotel development strategy
This opening follows closely that of the Mama Shelter hotel, scheduled for June 13, 2024, and is part of a series of hotel developments aimed at strengthening the attractiveness of Nice, including the 5-star Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel, the Maison Albar – Le Victoria, and the Hôtel du Couvent.
These initiatives respond to a growing demand for quality, diverse, and adapted accommodations to the new expectations of travelers.
In 2025, Nice will have 3000 additional hotel rooms compared to 2020, 60% of which will be in 4 and 5 stars. A hotel excellence recently recognized with the award of aClé Michelin to 7 hotels in the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolis.
The opening of the Palais Ségurane, with its 43 rooms and innovative services, marks a new step in the renewal of the hotel sector in Nice, contributing to the dynamism of the local economy and the diversification of the accommodation offer on the territory.
