Ubitransport, leader of intelligent transportation systems, is expanding and chose to settle in Cagnes-sur-Mer. Nathalie Azoulay, Business Development et Marketing Director, explains the choice of the Côte d’Azur and highlights the recent growth of her company.
Can you tell us about your business?
Ubitransport is the leader of intelligent transportation systems. We offer transit agencies and bus companies to manage their public school, intercity and on-demand transportation from a smartphone and a Cloud-based mobility platform. The company has grown successfully: + 6 528% in 4 years! Today, Ubitransport equips more than 100 networks in France and Canada and has 50 coworkers.
Since 2014, the Business Development and Marketing department is supervising from the Côte d’Azur all the French and International commercial targeting, contacts, market research and events organization.
Why did you choose the Côte d’Azur?
The offices are located in Macon (headquarters) and abroad (Toronto, Montreal, Chicago), the choice to set up in Cagnes-sur-Mer to supervise the international development was obvious. The Côte d’Azur combines all the assets to enable Ubitransport to expand worldwide: infrastructure quality, direct proximity to the international airport, appealing lifestyle to attract talent, region dynamism and support from local stakeholders.
What particular support have you received from Team Côte d’Azur while choosing a location and setting up?
Team Côte d’Azur has put us in contact with local stakeholders. We could rely on their rich and resourceful network in the region. Team Côte d’Azur helped us to gain local market and key players recognition.
What are your projects and objectives for the coming year?
Ubitransport systems are currently operating across France, including the Côte d’Azur with around 10 clients, mainly urban communities for now. In 2019, Ubitransport received the Company of the Year trophy in Cagnes-sur-Mer. We also work with larger networks thanks to a new deployment in the region. Today, we set up permanently on the Côte d’Azur with a new and more spacious office, in the heart of Cagnes-sur-Mer. Finally, Ubitransport is still looking for new talents: at the moment we are a team of five in the Côte d’Azur and we aim to double this in the near future.
