Team Côte d’Azur announced a new partnership with Trustech, the international conference dedicated to trust-based technologies (Iot, Biometrics, Fintech, Blockchain…) that will be held for the first time in the Côte d’Azur November 29-December 1, 2016.
Trustech is one of the largest conferences dedicated to trust-based technologies, including payment, secure identity, and communication tools. More than 18000 participants, 400 exhibitors and sponsors and 250 speakers coming from 130 different countries are expected to attend this year’s conference in Cannes.
This year the event will have a new format that allows participants to take advantage of two offers:
- “CARTES,” an exhibit dedicated to debit and credit cards with the chip, and other methods of payments that will be presented at various stands and booths.
- “Trustech Confex,” a conference and professional exposition dedicated to new technologies in security, payment and identity. This conference will have presentations, exhibits, and networking opportunities.
The conference sessions will be led by top professionals from large international companies such as J-B Straubel, co-founder and CTO of Tesla Motors, and Adrian Ludwig, Head Engineer of Android Security at Google.
The partnership with Team Côte d’Azur will allow about 50 French Tech Côte d’Azur companies to obtain the requisite accreditation to have a stand at the conference. This will allow them to display their innovations to the 1800 CEOs and decision-makers expected at the conference.
The Trustech conference will be an opportunity for Team Côte d’Azur to identify and convince companies and individuals to invest in the Côte d’Azur. The Côte d’Azur is a region that is ripe with opportunities to develop trust-based technologies thanks to the presence of standardizing bodies ETSI and W3C at Sophia Antipolis, and the World Pole of competitiveness SCS (Secure Communicating Solutions). The Côte d’Azur also boasts leading research in the fields of wireless telecommunication being led by INRIA (the National Institute Research in Computer Science and Control) and two CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) joint labs.
The Côte d’Azur has a long history of attracting global leaders such as Gemalto, Intel, Orange, and STMicroelectronics. They are drawn to the region by the availability of experienced individuals and research, especially in the wireless field.
Trustech’s decision to comme to Cannes will equally be the chance for the Côte d’Azur to demonstrate the high quality of research and innovation happening in the region to a group of international professionals. It will also give Côte d’Azur startups and companies some international exposure.
