ClusterIA is a non-profit association that aims to unite all AI stakeholders (large companies, research centers and researchers, universities, institutions, local authorities, and startups) who wish to invest in the development of an AI ecosystem, particularly around 3IA Côte d’Azur. They aim to share their knowledge and jointly promote innovative AI solutions. ClusterIA’s meetups and use cases are labeled by 3IA Côte d’Azur.
ClusterIA was created in 2018 by industry leaders such as Félix-Eliott Kudelka, Fabien Aili of Docaposte, Denis Bastiment of MyDataModels, Gérard Giraudon of EducAzur, Olivier Ricard of 360&1, Thierry Benmussa of Université Côte d’Azur, and POLE SCS, supported by Isabelle Galy.
Since then, ClusterIA has strengthened its role by closely collaborating with 3IA Côte d’Azur, one of the four Interdisciplinary Institutes of Artificial Intelligence labeled in 2019.
A New Board in 2024
At the general assembly on June 6, 2024, ClusterIA elected a new board.
Claude Seyrat, President and Founder of Firecell, succeeds Alan Ferbach as President. Aurélien Lallemant of Crédit Agricole and Olena Kushakovska of SAP Labs join as Vice Presidents. Jacques Jacquet-Stemmelen of Alysophil becomes the new Treasurer. This new board aims to continue strengthening the AI ecosystem on the Côte d’Azur and expand the association’s network to the southern region.
ClusterIA’s Actions
ClusterIA organizes thematic meetups, labeled by 3IA, which bring together large companies, SMEs, startups, and academic institutions. Recent topics include the AI Act, generative artificial intelligence, smart territories, and cybersecurity. These events facilitate the exchange of expertise and the upskilling of participants.
The association actively participates in the industrial committee of 3IA Côte d’Azur. ClusterIA maintains relationships with the National Coordination for AI and the Directorate General of Enterprises, facilitating interactions between regional and European ecosystems.
