With an exceptional fundraising and national recognition, Earthwake establishes itself as an indispensable player in cleantech.
In a year marked by significant advances in environmental technologies, Earthwake, a startup based in Nice, stands out with remarkable successes.
Between an impressive fundraising of 2.2 million euros and a round table of 750,000€ on Wiseed (Source Tribuca), as well as the honorary distinction of the i-Nov Innovation Contest, Earthwake stands as a model of success in the field of plastic waste valorization.
Strategic Funding for Cutting-Edge Technology
Founded in 2020 by Samuel Le Bihan and François Danel, Earthwake quickly caught the attention of the financial and technological spheres. Its flagship project, Chrysalis, an innovative pyrolysis technology, promises to transform plastic waste, often considered non-recyclable, into precious energy resources. The financial support of renowned partners such as WISEED, Rothschild & Co, Creazur, CMA CGM, as well as banking institutions like BPI and Banque Populaire Méditerranée, reflects the market’s confidence in the viability and potential impact of this company.
National Recognition and Global Ambitions
The award of the i-Nov Innovation Contest, funded by the State through France 2030 and operated by Bpifrance in partnership with ADEME, is a recognition of Earthwake’s commitment to fighting plastic pollution and its contribution to sustainable development. Earthwake’s PLASTOPLAS – Plastic to Plastic project, in particular, demonstrates the startup’s ambition to become a global leader in the chemical valorization of plastic waste.
Local and Global Impact
Earthwake’s impact is global. By transforming up to 900 kg of plastic waste per day, Chrysalis is part of a circular economy approach, offering a sustainable alternative to landfill and incineration. This technology aligns perfectly with the goal of 100% recycling of plastic packaging by 2025.
With its recent financial successes and technological advances, Earthwake positions itself not only as a major player in cleantech but also as a pillar in the transition towards a more sustainable and environmentally respectful economy.
