Strengthened Cooperation with Novation City
On the second day of Viva Technology in Paris, Novation City and Team Nice Côte d’Azur, signed a strategic cooperation agreement between the two organizations.
This partnership aims to enrich the local innovation ecosystems and to promote economic collaborations between the two organizations.
Hichem TURKI, CEO of the competitiveness cluster NOVATION CITY, and Hervé LAUBERTIE, General Manager of Team Nice Côte d’Azur, formalized this agreement during a public signing ceremony on the Start’up Tunisia stand at Viva Technology, in the presence of Jean-François Chapperon of Team Nice Côte d’Azur, Farouk RAÏS of the French Tech Côte d’Azur and Grégory DUBOIS of the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur. Also present were representatives of risingSUD, of the French Tech Tunis and of the Tunisian Ministry of Technology.
Future Prospects and Long-term Commitments
The aim of this signature is to establish the working relationships of Team Nice Côte d’Azur in the long term with Novation City, a competitiveness cluster based in Sousse, Tunisia. This collaboration is intended to be beneficial for both organizations and is part of the strategy of Team Nice Côte d’Azur to develop recurring relations with a few targeted territories.
In 2024, a Tunisian delegation is expected in Nice, after the mission of Team Nice Côte d’Azur in 2023 in Tunisia. The visit of Tunisian companies to Nice, will highlight the reciprocity and the sustainability of this international collaboration.

Successful Establishment of Medpackinter in Nice
In early 2024, the Tunisian company Medpackinter established its European operations in Nice, accompanied by Jean-François Chapperon. Medpackinter, the French subsidiary of MEDPACK, specializes in cardboard packaging and leaflets for the pharmaceutical industry.
The company chose Nice to expand its activity in Europe.
This establishment illustrates the success of the targeted initiatives to attract international investments and marks an important step in the collaboration between Team Nice Côte d’Azur and Novation City, testifying to the positive dynamic generated by the actions carried out in September 2023.

The more targeted prospecting strategy of Team Nice Côte d’Azur is already bearing fruit. The links created during the Tunisia Tech Tour in October 2023 were decisive in attracting innovative companies like Medpackinter.
The Tunisia Tech Tour 2023 enabled targeted meetings with startups, academic and research institutions at Novation City.
These interactions have allowed to explore opportunities for mutual collaboration and investment and have confirmed the strategy adopted following the establishment of LIBERTY COM SYSTEM and NEXTSTEP EUROPE in 2023.
Several projects should be confirmed in the coming months and consecrate this cooperation.
