June 13, 2023, marks a historic date for the Institute of Business Administration (IAE) of the Université Côte d’Azur.
In collaboration with the Yunus Paris Center and IAE France, a convention was signed to establish a Yunus Social Business Center (YSBC) in the presence of the Pr. Muhammed Yunus, pioneer of microcredit and founder of the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh.
The YSBC aims to be a lever for raising awareness about social business among the students of IAE Nice. Muhammed Yunus, recipient of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize and dubbed “the banker to the poor”, personally backed this project at the signing of the agreement at IAE Paris.
By incorporating a Yunus Social Business Center into its institution, IAE Nice aims to enrich its educational programs, including dedicated courses, apprenticeship contracts, and high social impact projects. This center will also play a role in disseminating innovative knowledge in the field of Social Business research This initiative illustrates the ongoing commitment of IAE Nice and Université Côte d’Azur to a more just and sustainable society and economy.
