The new temporary Nice Saint-Augustin station has been operational since September 1, 2022, to offer travelers optimized connections to various public transport options within a single multimodal exchange hub for smoother traffic flow.
The entire modal offer connected to Saint-Augustin station will be ready to welcome 12 million travelers each year, starting in 2023.
From its opening, Saint-Augustin station will enable interconnection between TER lines, the tramway network, and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, to the new bus station from 2023 (currently under construction and will have 20 bus lines) and tram line 4.
The expansion of the station will accommodate TGV lines by the end of 2028.
At the heart of the Grand Arenas international business district, the multimodal exchange hub allows the city of Nice to be the first major city in Europe to offer direct connections between an international airport, bus station, SNCF train station, tramways, bicycle paths, and the road network.
A large esplanade, a place of conviviality, will give this exchange hub an opening onto the district, in connection with shops, accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The new station represents an investment of €19 million and €21 million for the bus station.
