Robertet, the Grasse-based group specialising in flavourings has opened a workshop dedicated to powdered flavourings on its production site in Grasse, for an investment of 8 million euros.
Robertet therefore intends to extend its operations to new markets. In early 2014, the Group bought the innovative Belgian company Hitex, which specialised in the clean extraction of active principles using supercritical CO2 and planned to develop a full range of naturally-extracted products.
50% of the Group’s production takes place in Grasse and it has subsidiaries in Asia and Latin America.
This recent announcement by one of the world leaders in flavourings and perfumes highlights the sector’s strong growth dynamic. In the last two years, V.Mane and Fils et Expressions Aromatiques, two influential companies based on the Cote d’Azur, have invested in new production facilities.
