- Founded in 2019 in Nice, Le Point Français has established itself as a key player in short supply chain textiles, meeting the demands of “Made in France.”
- The company created the “Coca-Cola” outfit for the 2024 Olympic Games and collaborates with brands like Chanel, Le Slip Français, and Oxbow.
- With 40 employees and a turnover of 1.5 million euros in 2023, the workshop continues its expansion while offering comprehensive services to its clients.
In 2019, Alexandre Yao and Serge Oponou decided to create their own textile manufacturing workshop in Nice to meet the specific needs of Serge Oponou’s designer brand by directly controlling production.
Starting with minimal equipment in a garage, what was initially an internal solution for their own collections quickly transformed into a full-fledged business.
Word of mouth, fueled by the growing demand for serious and structured productions, accelerated the company’s growth.
Since then, Le Point Français has expanded its activities and become known among major brands. The company now occupies a 600-square-meter space in the Madeleine district of Nice.
Leveraging its expertise, it has attracted prestigious clients like Eres, Le Slip Français, and Oxbow, enabling it to achieve a turnover of 1.5 million euros in 2023. Its team, now consisting of 40 employees, works on a variety of projects ranging from ready-to-wear to luxury, all while maintaining a short supply chain approach.
A 360° Offering Adapted to Brands’ Needs
What sets Le Point Français apart from other workshops is its ability to offer a complete and flexible service, tailored to its clients’ needs. The company provides services ranging from design to pattern making, sourcing raw materials, final production, a photo studio, and distribution.
This 360° approach attracts brands seeking not only technical expertise and know-how but also end-to-end support.
The Nice-based workshop positions itself as a trusted partner, especially for brands looking to relocate part of their production to France.
A Central Role in the Local Economic Fabric
The company actively contributes to the region’s economic dynamism by creating jobs and engaging in local collaborations. This economic model, based on proximity and responsiveness, allows the workshop to adapt to rapid changes in the ready-to-wear market. Moreover, by positioning itself within “Made in France,” Le Point Français meets a growing demand for local and sustainable products.
The importance of this company for the region was recently highlighted by the visit of Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, on October 3, 2024.
