The Nice-based cleantech startup OGHJI, which is developing a digital, connected, and eco-responsible electrical panel, has announced the completion of its €1.2 million funding round, following a €1.3 million funding round from private investors in June 2023.
The company has been awarded the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution label and won the first prize in the Digital Inpulse competition in 2021. At the beginning of 2023, the company announced the successful completion of the electrical safety normative tests for its disjunction technology.
The investors in this new funding round are OPHA Invest, SideAngels, and FABELSI.
Patented Technology
OGHJI’s digital disjunction technology has successfully passed the critical stage of laboratory testing. the company is preparing to develop its smart and connected electrical panel. The single-phase and three-phase versions of this panel, as well as the first associated services and home automation integrations, are currently under development.
Early Investors Renew Their Confidence
OPHA Invest, an investment fund created by Olivier Peccoux and Henri Assaf, has renewed its confidence in OGHJI by participating in this new funding round. It is worth noting that Olivier Peccoux and Henri Assaf have significant experience in the banking sector, having founded and led the company SAB for 30 years before selling it to Sopra Steria in 2019.
The Contribution of New Strategic Partners
OPHA Invest is joined by SideAngels and FABELSI. The members of SideAngels come from the French entrepreneurial ecosystem and bring diversified expertise. Fabien Choné, the president of FABELSI, also joins OGHJI’s Strategic Committee. He will bring his expertise in the energy sector, having co-founded and led Direct Energie, the third-largest player in the French electricity and gas market.
Towards Imminent Experimentation and Commercialization
With these funds, OGHJI plans to conduct an experiment of its technology by the end of 2024 and aims for commercialization in 2025. The company thus appears to be well-positioned to play a leading role in the fields of smart energy, smart buildings, and smart cities.
