A Major Project for Virbac and Carros (Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis)
The announcement of a major expansion by Virbac on the site previously occupied by Primagaz in the Carros La Grave industrial zone was reported by Nice-Matin (“A very, very large industrial project” on February 17 and “More details on Virbac’s expansion project at Carros” on February 18).).
This development underscores Virbac’s ongoing commitment, founded in 1968 and embedded in the economic landscape of Carros, towards strengthening its production and logistics infrastructure in France.
Reindustrialization and Economic Impact
By repatriating activities previously outsourced, notably to the United States and Australia, Virbac demonstrates its confidence in the economic and industrial fabric of the territory recently labeled Territoire d’Industrie, promising job creation and the stimulation of economic growth.
The project represents an investment of €30 million with a new facility of more than 16,000 sqm including a state-of-the-art logistics platform designed to meet the company’s future needs in terms of storage and product management.
The new site is expected to begin construction in 2025 and be operational between 2026 and 2027.
