Transition Forum Nice

The international economic forum will be held from September 30 to October 1, 2021 in Nice on the occasion of the Nice Transition Days
the largest open-air festival of ecological innovations, from September 27 to October 3 in the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolis

The launch of the Nice Transition Forum was announced at the signing of the recovery plan in Matignon between Prime Minister Jean Castex and the Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, Christian Estrosi, on Thursday 15 April.

Organized by the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, La Tribune and the Transition Forum association, the event will be held from September 30 to October 1 at the Palais de la Méditerranée and the Villa Massena in Nice. This international event will be dedicated to cooperation and new alliances for the ecological transition, cutting edge of the European economic recovery and its Green Deal.

Global innovators, entrepreneurs, industrialists, researchers, international public and private decision-makers and civil society figures will be brought together for two days to accelerate the implementation of ambitious ecological transition projects. This is the vocation of the Transition Forum 2021: bringing together a multidisciplinary international community and catalyzing concrete solutions to meet the challenges of the century by succeeding in combining economic imperatives and the ecological transition.

Humanity is entering a decisive decade in the face of climate challenge. The fight for the protection of the soil and biodiversity as well as for the decarbonization of lifestyles, production, consumption and travel models, constitutes a historical responsibility for our generation. In this context, it is necessary to collectively implement rapid and unprecedented transformations.

The 2 days of this international summit will be organized around 4 sequences – mobility, food, housing, production and consumption. An opportunity for participants to discover breakthrough innovations, to establish business partnerships, to exchange and to co-create collectively.

The event will be held during the Nice Transition Days, an international festival of ecological innovations that will take place for the first time throughout the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolis from September 27 to October 3, 2021. As a real open-air laboratory, it will enable city dwellers to discover and experiment with the latest innovations in the ecological transition.

The Nice-Côte d’Azur Metropolis will host and co-organize the 2021 Transition Forum and the Nice Transition Days, underlining the Metropolis’ commitment to the ecological transition and its appeal to an international audience.

« After the 2020 edition of the Transition Forum scheduled in Nice, which was held in videoconference due to health circumstances, I am very pleased to host the Transition Forum again in September 2021, a real flagship event for employment and the acceleration of the ecological transition in all areas of activity. After the successive crises we have experienced caused by Covid-19 and Storm Alex, it is more essential than ever to join forces between the private and public sectors to build the resilient territory of tomorrow. This two-day summit will once again allow us to make concrete progress towards sustainable solutions in terms of employment, housing, food security and energy. » explained Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region.

According to Lionel Le Maux, President of Aqua Asset Management and Founder of Transition Forum: « Public-private collaboration is essential to build new economic models compatible with the ecological transition, to support the development of territories and solutions for the protection of the environment, these are the objectives of Transition Forum, these are the objectives that we share with the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and La Tribune.«

« Europe is putting the ecological transition at the heart of its economic recovery to make it its main competitive advantage worldwide. The Transition Forum and the Nice Transition Days will bring together all the players committed to a low-carbon economy through innovation every year in Nice. « Jean-Christophe Tortora, President of La Tribune, emphasizes.

The program can be found at https://transition-forum.org All of the Transition Forum sequences will be accessible on this site and from latribune.fr and its social media accounts.
